Faith Wong
Peer Support Specialist, Institute of Mental Health; Singapore
Faith Wong is currently a Peer Support Specialist with the Mood Disorders Unit at the Institute of Mental Health (Singapore), where she is constantly inspired by the indomitable spirit of the peers. She facilitates recovery-oriented groups for both inpatients and outpatients, and also supports individual clients through their pain and uncertainties, with a smile, some jokes, and lots of love.
Faced with the tsunamis of Bipolar Disorder for 2 decades, armed with her grit and a wicked sense of humour, Faith fought hard against the waves – dropped out several times, graduated as top student of faculty in a local polytechnic, received a government scholarship which took her to the UK for a degree in Modelmaking – and finally emerged as a survivor to tell her story and inspire hope in others.
