She is a prominent authority on improving health care systems, whose expertise has been recognized by her elected membership to the National Academy of Medicine (IOM), among other distinctions.<\/p><br><p><a href=\"https:\/\/stg-internationalforum.bmj.com\/gothenburg\/2022\/02\/17\/pedro-delgado\/\">Pedro Delgado<\/a> oversees IHI\u2019s portfolio of work in three regions (Latin America, Europe, and Australasia) and the IHI Open School. Based in the United Kingdom, he has been a driving force in IHI\u2019s global expansion.
