How have lessons learned from the SARS/MERS impacted the response to COVID-19?

Learning from past experiences

On Friday 12 June 2020, we held an interactive workshop to discuss how countries with past experiences of SARS and MERS have reacted to COVID-19.

The session featured presentations from Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and Saudi Arabia, and shared the different approaches each country has taken based on their previous experience of managing epidemics.
